Villa Duchesne, class of 1975, daughter of Villa alumna, sister of Grand Coteau alumnae.  Delphine is suffering from Progressive Nuclear Palsy (PSP), a progressive brain disorder (link to Mayo Clinic explanation:  https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/progressive-supranuclear-... ).  The condition is taking a terrible toll on Delphine and her wonderful family.  Along with friends, they have come together in heroic fashion (fully expected of a Sacred Heart family) to support her, watching as this condition takes so much away from her.  She walks with great difficulty, can barely speak or swallow, and has little control over her body's movement. She now weighs just a little over 100 pounds.

And through it all, she has retained her wonderful sense of humor.  Her faith is strong.  We hope she will make it to October to receive Villa's Tres Bien alumnae award, recognizing her life's work of teaching high school art and inspiring her students.

Please pray for Delphine and her family.
